This tour combines land and sea, full of wild nature and the most popular Southern open seas and beaches.
Have a tour to Sfakia Village reaching the highest point where you can admire the stunning view of the gorge and the sea. Then we descend down to the harbor of Sfakia where our sea tour begins.
You stop at Glyka Nera beach, one of the most popular beaches in the region of Sfakia. If you dig on the beach, you will probably find fresh water coming from the White Mountains because of snow melt, which supplies the underground water routes. This fact is the reason that the beach got the naming Glyka Nera (Sweet Water) and proof of this are the trees that grow along the pebbly beach.
Next stop Marmara beach is an amazing secluded small pebbly bay shaped near the exit of the imposing Aradena Gorge, in Sfakia region. The name Marmara means “marbles” and is named after the soft colorful rocks and sea caves, that consist the most striking feature of the place.
You will spend some time there and then you will head over Loutro beach. Swimming in the cool waters of the bay, or just lying on the beach.
In the area there are various activities to do such as snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking or paddle boat. (waters sports are extra charged). You can also enjoy your meal at one of the seaside taverns.
Best southern beaches!
