We pick you up in the morning and we drive towards Rethymno. About 20 km southwest we arrive at a picturesque, traditional village, Roustika. A village whose history dates back to the Byzantine period.
In the village, you will visit the famous monastery dedicated to the prophet Elijah (“Profitis Ilias), as well as the Church of Panagia, dedicated to the Holy Mother. The walls in the interior of the church are covered with frescoes dating back to 1381.
Then you will head to The Museum of Traditional Greek costumes. The Museum is dedicated to the study of the Greek costume. Its collection comprises 25.000 items, mainly authentic regional costumes and ornaments.
At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a traditional Cretan meal in a local tavern.
